My sister recently became engaged and I decided that I would really like for my skin to be sorted out by her wedding.
I have had trouble with my skin for over a decade now and have tried just about everything out there. I used Proactive for a while and my face just about melted of. That terrible experience made me hesitant to try any other comprehensive acne treatments.
A former college classmate posts on Facebook and Instagram regularly about the Rodan+Fields products and seeing the transformation photos online really caught my interest. I decided to give it a try.
It’s a little expensive, but I figured it would be worth it if I saw results. It’s also cheaper than going to a dermatologist for treatments.
I’m about 3 weeks in now and am truly impressed.
My face never became inflamed and I didn’t experience any peeling or dryness. My existing breakouts have disappeared and I have been breakout free for over a week. I even had 2 underground zits (I’m sure there’s a technical term for those) and they disappeared and the soreness went away about 3 days into the new regimen. I usually break out pretty badly when the weather turns warm ad I perspire more, but so far I am clear and my skin tone is even.
Now that I am not breaking out, my skin can begin to heal my most troublesome areas. I’m finally beginning to feel more comfortable in less makeup.
I took a before photo and will take an after photo to post in another week or so.
If you are tired of your skin issues, I highly recommend giving this a try. I was very skeptical at first because it looks like any other skin program, but I am now a big time believer in these products.
Bare with me! I am working through a backlog of posts that were in my draft folder. Apparently I just never hit post!
A few months ago I purchased a new handbag thay I ultimately had to return due to an issue with the strap. I didn’t replace it at the time because I couldn’t find another bag that I liked.
Over the weekend I finally found the perfect handbag!
I compared the large and small bags and bought the smaller bag. The smaller bag was originally $295.00 reduced to $179.00. While I was in the store, they were offering a promotion that offered another 50% off of most bags. That brought the total before taxes to only $89.50! When it was all said and done, I only paid $95.77!
I love a good beige bag!
I found myself in need of a fresh day to day black dress to wear under jackets at work. It’s so difficult to find dresses that hit at the knee these days so I was thrilled to find one for such a reasonable price on Amazon.
This Lark & Roe dress was only $59.50!
It’s washable and I didn’t even have to iron it after washing. Such an easy dress for those mornings when you just need to grab and go.
About a month ago, I fell and injured my ankle. I spent a lot of time in a boot and on crutches and am finally down to just an ankle brace. The only problem now is that the ankle brace doesn’t fit most of my shoes.
I was in a lot of pain and couldn’t imagine wearing a shoe other than the boot for a long time, but got a pair of Crocks to try. They were cheap, light weight, and they fit my swollen foot. Yes they are silly looking, but they didn’t hurt to wear and for that I am thankful.
When I graduated from Crocks, I moved into Birkenstocks. They are adjustable and can be loosened to accommodate a brace. Their firm sole keeps me steady on my feet and it’s nice to have a little arch support.
I purchased the Silver Gizeh sandals from Amazon for $94.95 and I purchased the Metallic Anthracite Arizona sandals on Poshmark for $60.00 and they still had the tags on them! The Arizona sandals are usually $135.00 so I really got a good deal. I feel a little hippy dippy when I wear them, but these Birkenstocks feel pretty darn great.
I’m finally healing and am able to wear a few other pairs of shoes, but it’s going to be another couple of months before I can be back in heels and wedges. The worst is behind me!
I was scrolling through Facebook recently and I saw that a former colleague’s daughter was raising money for their cheer group to go to a conference and I decided to contribute.
They were selling popcorn, which I wasn’t excited about at first. I ordered a small jar of a chocolate covered popcorn; and when it arrived I ate just about all of it in one sitting.
When I went back to order more, the fundraiser was closed.
About a week later they reopened the fundraiser page and I was able to get two large bags. I have been rationing my supply and am limiting myself to a cup a day. It’s divine!
The Boy Scouts need to sell this stuff instead of their own popcorn. They would have many more takers!
Pardon the quick selfie, but these earrings must be shared.
I haven’t purchased a pair of earrings in a long time. I think the last time I posted about earrings was when I had my drop earrings remade into studs. I haven’t purchased earrings since then and that was a full year ago now.
I was in Pink on Main at TIEC over the weekend and they had these super cool earrings for sale. I just had to have a pair! I loved the blue and the pink ones, but the blue didn’t show up well with my dark hair. I bought the pink ones and LOVE them. They are so light weight and are going to look super cute with a plain dress this summer. I’m not sure who makes them, but I am going to keep my eye on this store for more super cute statement earrings.
I have been through some ups and downs with my britches lately. My favorite pair of Ponte Pants blew its zipper and now my two pairs of good jeans have broken belt loops.
I have regained some ground on the work pants side of things, but I have had trouble finding jeans that are long enough. On a whim I entered “32 inch inseam” into Poshmark and found some really great options.
I scored this pair of Vince jeans for only $43.00! They are so very soft and light weight, which makes them perfect for the warmer months.
I also found this pair of Paige jeans on eBay in perfect condition for less than $50.00! The fit is just right and they would have cost me close to $200.00 if I had bought them in a store.
I have been doing a lot of shopping lately, but I have spent very little thanks to eBay and Poshmark. It’s easy to buy and to sell! Check out the items I have available on both sites!
