Ann Taylor was giving away shoes over the Easter weekend, which was perfect because I realized that I didn’t have a single pair of navy or black closed toe heels. Their shoes are so comfortable and the sizing is reliable. I can buy them online with confidence in the fit.
My other Ann Taylor sale order arrived this week and the pants are wonderful. Probably my favorite pants ever actually. Unfortunately the skirt did not work so It’s going back.
Ann Taylor is 40% off right now for Easter.
I have been desperate for a pair of navy pants for work so I jumped on this deal.
I also ordered a super cute skirt that will carry me though the fall.
If you have a need for some basics or a pair of really great work shoes, now’s the time!
I’ve been on quite the spending spree lately and I’m not even the least bit sorry about it.
I had a bunch of sweaters bite the dust last winter and now that it is cold, I have been wearing the same couple of sweaters over and over. I needed to freshen up my sweater game.
Gap made a sweater like this a few years ago and I hate that I only bought one. I didn’t make the same mistake this time. I bought two of this Merino Turtleneck Sweater with Side Slits, one grey and one black.
I also purchased this Ruffle Crewneck in Boiled Wool. I love the color of the sweater and the ruffle is so fun, but the fit was terrible. I read the reviews online and people reported that it fit small. I would say the fit is true to size except for length. This sweater runs very short. I sized up to account for this, but it was still too small. Unfortunately I had to return the sweater.
Ann Taylor recently threw a really great sale.
Everything was 50% off and they added free shipping!
I took that opportunity to get caught up on my Ann Taylor wish list.
This Boatneck Flare Cuff Blouse has been on my list for a while. I love simple blouses that I can pair with skirts or slacks for work. I was running low on basics so I bought this top in winter white and black. They are pretty affordable to begin with priced at $69.50, but I was ecstatic to buy them at the reduced price of $34.75.
I also bought this simple Satin Trim Keyhole Top for only $29.75. It was originally $59.50.
I have been meaning to replace my old, and in some cases tattered, collared dress shirts with a new set of basics. Mission accomplished!
As a child, I was confused by the concept of a shell. What my mother called a shell looked to me a whole lot like a tank top and I always wondered why my mother had so many “shells” in her closet.
I totally get it now!
They fit perfectly under a jacket and avoid the whole bunched up sleeve scenario. They are also a smart option for summer when it is blazing hot outside, but you need a jacket indoors to counter the blasting AC.
Now I am growing a shell collection of my own!
This week Ann Taylor marked everything on their website down by 40% and I picked up this classic shell in 3 colors. The promotion reduced each top from $39.50 to $23.70 each.
It’s been a month or so since I posted about my Poshmark finds, so let me get you caught up.
J.Crew Cabled Cashmere Sweater $18.00
Jack Rogers Nude Sandals $74.00
J.Crew Tweed Jacket $40.00
Summer is a great time to buy winter clothes because they are all on sale! I am always keeping my eye out for the reduction notices on Poshmark for additional savings.
My go to Jack Rogers sandals finally kicked the bucket last week after having been resoled twice and so it was time for a new pair. I found these never been worn Jacks for only $74! That’s a savings of about $30.00. Not bad!
I found myself in need of a fresh day to day black dress to wear under jackets at work. It’s so difficult to find dresses that hit at the knee these days so I was thrilled to find one for such a reasonable price on Amazon.
This Lark & Roe dress was only $59.50!
It’s washable and I didn’t even have to iron it after washing. Such an easy dress for those mornings when you just need to grab and go.
