A WHOLE NEW WORLD

There is very little to do where I live. When people ask what I do in my spare time, I answer honestly. I watch Netflix and I rearrange my furniture a lot.

Last night I couldn’t wind down enough to go to sleep so I stayed up and completely flipped my room. I don’t have a before photo, but my bed was where the sofa is, the shelves were on each side of the sliding glass doors to the left of the chair, and the sofa was in front of the sliding glass doors. My bed is now in a corner on the other side of the room with my desk as my bedside table.

I LOVE this arrangement and it gives me so much more space and better light.
Pinckney loves being able to look out of the sliding glass door and go out on the balcony. The balcony was just fixed so now we can actually enjoy it!

My next organizational project is my upstairs bathroom. I have set my plans and I am one shopping trip to Ikea away from really fixing that space up. Stay tuned!

A LITTLE CHRISTMAS DIY

I have been radio silent lately because the holidays are kicking up and there is much to do to prepare!ย Where I work, we have a western wear store and I was tasked with creating a display for the window. The windows are small so I decided to hang something that would draw attention, but not completely obscure the store. After a quick search on pinterest, I found this wagon wheel wreath and I fell in love with the concept.

This original wreath looked a little washed out, so I kicked it up a notch and voila!

I used fake greenery, pheasant feathers, candied berries and a big, bright bow. It took a lot of floral wire and my hands look like I got in a fight with a chicken, but I was very happy with how it turned out.

I purchased the wagon wheels on Amazonย (they were $67.99 when I bought them), but the rest of the supplies came from Hobby Lobby.
